If you ask someone something, it's most likley to say that they'll answer. If you didn't like the answer they gave you, it might spur problems, or if you liked it, you might delve in too deep. Life is interesting this way, isn't it? It's a big web of thoughts, both good and bad, and decisions; both bad or good also. And then there's those little nothings that fill the spaces in between, that no one seems to hardly notice at all, that you seem to be made up of.
I guess, though, that that's the moral of everything.

Past the Past
I stood, staring, my big eyes glossy, in front of the mirror. My thick dark curls fell in ringlets to frame my pale face; their brown ends lapped at my shoulders and swathed around my neck, tickling my skin. I didn’t like it, not one single bit. I guess curls where pretty, to some people, but for me, it was memories. Memories that, I guess, I wanted to forget. OCD. Just three letters, but so very powerful. I still don’t know why they capitalize that word. Why would they, when they could be taunting all the sufferers out there like me? You don’t capitalize monster; you just don’t. It’s bad emotional grammar, that’s what it is.
“Hey.” I heard my mom’s voice. “Breakfast.” I turned reluctantly away from my thoughtful reflection, who jerked away most rudely in return. My hand fell on the smooth, glistening doorknob; I tipped back my head one last time to glance at myself. It was frowning.
I frowned back.

Sometimes life just doesn't work.
And we have to accept that. But sometimes, just sometimes, you want to appear half sane when your freaking out inside. Here, right here, is your guide to doing so. A Field Guide, to be precise, but no matter. Just shut up, sit down, and read.
One daughter. One mother. And a whole lot of freaking out to do.
